Terms & Conditions of Repair Service
Terms governing repair and maintenance services provided by A Biomedical Service Inc.
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions of Repair Service are incorporated by reference into any service agreement between A Biomedical Service Inc. and the Customer. By authorizing service, the Customer accepts these terms in their entirety. A Biomedical Service rejects any conflicting terms unless explicitly approved in writing by an authorized manager.
Parts Used in Repairs
A Biomedical Service Inc. will use OEM parts wherever possible and if requested by the Customer. Otherwise, aftermarket parts meeting A Biomedical Service Inc.'s quality control standards will be used. All replacement parts are selected to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.
Service Authorization
Before performing work beyond the agreed flat-rate or quoted scope, A Biomedical Service requests written Customer approval for any additional labor or parts. We will not exceed the approved scope without explicit authorization. Estimates provided prior to service are based on initial inspection and may be revised if additional issues are discovered during repair.
Warranty on Services
A Biomedical Service warrants that services are performed in a workmanlike manner by qualified technicians, and that parts used are free from defects, for the period specified in your service agreement. The standard warranty period on repair services is specified on your service invoice.
Out-of-Box Failures
Customers must report defects or failures within three (3) business days of receipt for coverage under warranty terms. Failures reported after this window may be subject to additional evaluation before warranty determination.
Service Exclusions
Repair services do not cover, and warranty is voided by:
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect device functionality
- Damage caused by negligence, abuse, or improper use
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs performed after our service
- Exposure to environmental extremes (excessive heat, humidity, corrosive materials)
- Damage from power surges, lightning, or acts of God
- Water damage or damage from improper installation
- Broken seals, missing serial numbers, or evidence of prior unauthorized repair
- Use of non-approved accessories or consumables
Equipment Return for Depot Repair
Equipment sent for depot repair must be properly packaged to prevent transit damage. A Biomedical Service is not responsible for damage occurring during shipping. Customers are encouraged to use adequate packaging and purchase shipping insurance for high-value equipment. We will provide packing guidance upon request.
Repair Turnaround
Estimated turnaround times provided at the time of service authorization are estimates only and may vary based on parts availability, workload, and the complexity of the repair. We will communicate proactively if a repair requires more time than initially estimated.
Abandoned Equipment
Equipment left at our facility for more than 90 days without response from the Customer after notification will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or recycled in accordance with our R2v3 certified disposal program.
Limitation of Liability
A Biomedical Service Inc.'s total liability for any claim arising from repair services is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to lost revenue, interrupted patient care, data loss, or regulatory penalties arising from equipment failure or service delays.
