ISO 9001 · 14001 · 45001 SDVOSB Veteran-Owned Written Quote First Field & Nationwide Depot

Accurate calibration is essential for patient safety and regulatory compliance. A Biomedical Service provides calibration support for a range of biomedical and clinical equipment categories, documenting performance against specification and producing calibration certificates that satisfy accreditation and audit requirements.

Our calibration support is performed using calibrated reference standards with documented traceability. Where in-house calibration is not within scope, we coordinate with qualified calibration laboratories to ensure your equipment receives the correct service and documentation, without disrupting your operations.

Contact us to discuss the specific equipment categories and calibration requirements at your facility. We will confirm scope, methodology, and documentation format before any work proceeds.

Calibration Support Details

Equipment Categories

We provide calibration support for patient monitors, vital signs equipment, infusion pumps, electrosurgical units, defibrillators, thermometers, and select laboratory instruments. Contact us to confirm your specific device.

Traceability

Calibration is performed using reference standards traceable to NIST or equivalent national measurement institute. Traceability chain documentation is available and included in calibration certificates where required.

Calibration Certificates

Each calibrated device receives a calibration certificate documenting the as-found and as-left readings, reference standards used, pass/fail determination, and next calibration due date.

Out-of-Tolerance Handling

When a device is found out of tolerance, we document the as-found condition, quarantine the device where appropriate, notify the responsible contact, and coordinate corrective repair or adjustment before returning it to service.

Scheduled Calibration Programs

We can track calibration due dates across your equipment inventory and schedule periodic calibration visits, reducing the administrative burden on your clinical engineering or facilities team.

Accreditation Support

Calibration records are formatted to support TJC, CAP, CLIA, and other accreditation requirements. We can provide summary reports and equipment lists formatted for your compliance binder.

Important Notes on Scope

1

Confirm scope before scheduling

Calibration scope varies by device category, manufacturer, and regulatory requirement. Contact us with your specific equipment list and we will confirm whether in-house calibration, field calibration, or coordination with an accredited calibration laboratory is the appropriate solution.

2

Accreditation requirements vary

Some accreditation bodies require ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration for specific equipment categories. We will advise on the appropriate calibration pathway for your regulatory context and refer you to accredited labs when required.

3

Written quotes before work begins

We provide a written quote specifying the calibration method, equipment, documentation, and cost for your approval before any calibration service is performed.

Calibration FAQ

What equipment can you calibrate?
We provide calibration support across a range of biomedical and clinical equipment categories. Contact us to confirm scope for your specific instruments.
Is your calibration traceable?
Yes. Calibration is performed using reference standards with documented traceability, so your certificates hold up to scrutiny.
What's included on a calibration certificate?
A certificate identifies the device by model and serial number, the reference standards used, the measurements taken and tolerances applied, and a clear pass or out-of-tolerance result with date and technician.
Do you calibrate in-house, in the field, or subcontract?
It depends on the equipment. We confirm the method per category and, where in-house calibration isn't within scope, coordinate with qualified calibration laboratories.
What happens if a device is out of tolerance?
We document the deviation and advise you on next steps before returning the device, so you know its status before it's back in service.

A Biomedical Service is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
